In all aspects but (sometimes) battery life, yes. If you had a first generation switch, it’s not really any different.

The device is light and the screen is of great quality. There are already plenty of games to keep you busy as well, and more to come in the next couple months.

The only concern one might have is with regards to battery life, in the case you don’t have a power bank at hand during travel (FYI, it uses USB-C charging). I’ve been able to play the new Mario Kart World for about 4 hours on a full charge. I suspect this might go down to 2 or 3 hours for games like Cyberpunk. You can probably find reviews online for performance details for the games you plan on buying.

So it’s ideal for a relatively short ~3h trip, but it’s not as good as your smartphone might be for a 5h+ long-haul.
